Photography and Design

English class in junior year of high school marked the beginning of a journey towards moral perfection. From Huckleberry Finn to The Sound and the Fury we extracted and absorbed the great words of Mark Twain, William Faulkner, and even those of our peers.

Throughout the year, we selected 50 lines from novels and essays that spoke to us as individuals, moved us in a particular way, or allowed us to see in a new light, and illustrated each line with a photograph.

I designed and compiled my 50 lines and photographs into a hand-sewn book, which has since been worn from being passed between classmates, friends, and family. Although this project was from my early years of high school, it remains one of my most precious works.
